Southern Californians have gotten used to the quick oil changes that they can always get from EZ Lube locations. EZ Lube had 72 locations from San Diego to Los Angeles.
In 2008, EZ Lube filed for bankruptcy citing worsening financial conditions that have caused customers to forgo auto services. They had since built the company back up to a profitable organization throughout Southern California.
Guy Marsala took over the reigns of EZ Lube in April of 2010. As CEO of EZ Lube, Marsala led them to $75 million in profits in 2010.
Henley Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Changes, purchased all 72 EZ Lube locations last week. This marks Henley’s introduction into the California market of oil changes.
Over the next few months EZ Lube will begin changing their name over to Valvoline Instant Oil Changes.
In the meantime, they are offering an oil change coupon to all customers who visit the website. This oil change coupon will get you $10 off of a Valvoline oil change.
